The Spork In the Road
As of June 14, 2025, we're standing at a critical juncture, a spork in the road where the political landscape of the three combatants—U.S., Israel, and Iran—forms the string in Eros' bow, stretched taught, nocked with several arrows that could yield starkly different outcomes.
To the left, enlightenment beckons, a path towards Social Democracy rooted in the core commandments of Abrahamic religions, Green Economics, and indigenous wisdom. To the right, instant game over looms if it escalates to nukes, a scenario that could obliterate us all. And straight ahead, the majority plods along with the status quo/quid pro quo laissez faire ways, oblivious to the imminent climate collapse.
First, let's talk about the U.S. Under Trump, we've got a regime propped up by tech bros like Peter Thiel and Elon Musk, and megachurch pastors peddling prosperity gospel. It's a house of cards, vulnerable to market fluctuations and the resistance brewing in the streets.
The "No Kings Day" protests, with their polyglot and younger crowd, are a beacon of hope, rejecting authoritarianism and showing what democracy really looks like, an estimated 5,000,000 turnout nationwide. But the old money, less than 10,000 individuals controlling vast wealth through land deeds and financial instruments, holds the real power. The Rothschild-Rockefeller model, leveraging clandestine operations like the NSA and CIA, ensures stability, but it's a stability built on sand. Economic inequality, mass deportation's potential 4.2 to 6.8% GDP reduction, and the growing displeasure with surveillance could tip the scales. If we don't shift to Green Economics, lifting the FICA cap to make the rich pay their fair share and returning land management to indigenous life scientists, we're fucked.
The 4th Estate, stifled by disinformation stations like X and Truth Social, needs to rise, amplifying voices like mine. We need to put FDR's New Deal into practice, not just on paper, through a free press defying the bullshit barns. Enlightenment to the left means survival, but the right, with nukes on the table, means instant game over.
Now, Israel. Netanyahu's government, aiming to "zionize" the Promised Land despite the Ashkenaz leadership's non-practicing, often atheistic stance, is a ticking time bomb. The Friday the 13th escalation, with Israeli strikes on Iranian nuclear and military targets, has intensified regional tensions. The majority of Jews, globally and within Israel, are growing displeased with the atrocities committed in their name. The Knesset's vote against a Palestinian state, the judicial reforms protests, and economic inequality suggest vulnerability.
If this escalates to nukes, it's game over for us all. But enlightenment to the left offers a chance. The Iranian Jewish community, strengthening their rituals in response, could be a catalyst for change if the regime's actions become untenable. The "No Kings Day" protests, inspired by indigenous solidarity and environmental justice, could find allies here, challenging the status quo. The Rainbow Warrior community's creed, "Love all, hate none, in peace, love, unity, and respect," could guide us towards peace through justice, but it requires a shift away from war-based Manifest Destiny.
And Iran. The Islamic Republic, ruled by clerical and military elites, is on the brink. Economic sanctions, internal protests, and the 2025 escalation have pushed it to the edge. The Iranian Jewish community's silence reflects their precarious position, but global Jewish displeasure could influence change. If it escalates to nukes, we're all toast. But enlightenment to the left offers a path.
The "No Kings Day" protests, with their focus on Social Democracy and Green Economics, could inspire dissent, particularly among marginalized groups. The Rainbow Family's itinerant nature, embodying peace and community, contrasts with the regime's control, despite the corrupt envelope the Rainbow Family is wrapped in. We need to return land management to indigenous life scientists, ensuring survival through sustainable practices. The majority, plodding along with laissez faire ways, oblivious to imminent climate collapse, wallowing in the spoon part of the spork, are the biggest risk. If we don't wake them up, we're doomed.
So here we are, at this spork in the road. To the left, enlightenment, a world where the core commandments of Abrahamic religions guide us towards justice and equality, where Green Economics ensures survival, and where indigenous wisdom restores balance. To the right, instant game over, nukes flying, and the end of everything. And straight ahead, the status quo, quid pro quo, laissez faire, leading us straight into climate collapse.
I'm a non-fiction/technical writer since 1967, published hardly anywhere but the internet, a F.ull B.lood I.ndigenous Levite bred to stir shit, hurting nothing but feelings, kicking no ass, and taking good notes. I've been part of the Woodstock Notion in Motion, somewhat of a living legend among Boomer and Gen-X rebels, part of the counterculture, born woke, refusing to be broken by fear porn and rage bait.
The media blackout is real, but the internet, despite being a "giant cauldron of shit stew," is our tool. We need to defy the disinformation, amplify the truth, and put the U.S. Constitution's roots in the "Great Law of Peace" into practice. Peace works. War sucks. Let the rich get as rich as they like, but make them pay their fair share and give the land back to those who know how to care for it. The arrows are nocked, the bow is drawn. Which way do we go? The choice is ours, but the clock is ticking.
