Thoughts on the 100th Anniversary of the Destruction of Black Wall Street in Tulsa
Trying to follow the money
People often wonder why I expose myself to the toxic talking turds that infest troll sites and all the incredibly foul and stupid things they say about me. It’s because of postings and discussions like this that I won’t find on Twitter or Facebook. I’m an opportunistic writer and a terrible slacker. When my career in the life sciences tanked, i swore never to sweat myself over anything that I wasn’t having fun doing unless I was getting paid really well and the first to go was serious reading and non-fiction writing. Maybe I’ll get serious here with the prospect of finally making some money with my writing. We’ll see how that goes. Meanwhile, cruising the news feed comments sections keeps my fingers limber and I have fun providing the documentation that supports the nice people’s arguments or debunks the mean and stupid’s alternative facts.
So how about reparations? Well, lets be honest about who should receive this, what form it should take and where the money would come from. Biden is talking about “Build Back Better” and that should go to the survivors of massacres descendants first. Native families like those of Thurman Horse on the Pine Ridge reservation should be at the head of the line to receive grants to build the eco-village they want to make into a drug and alcohol recovery center on their Beaver Creek land and to their uncle, Chief Crow Dog and his family to develop Crow Dog Paradise according to his vision in his last days walking his ancestral lands at Rosebud.
The black and white descendants of Thomas Jefferson should certainly be tasked in reconciling that dark aspect of American history with the building of multicultural communities. The Ross, Rogers and Nails families and dozens of families like them all over America should receive grants to help them restart the family enterprises that were destroyed in race riots. The focus for all of this money should be on building infrastructure beneficial to the whole community that is reconciled to the natural world.
When Tulsa’s Black Wall Street Went Up in Flames, So Did Potential Inheritance - Destruction of hundreds of businesses in 1921 massacre had reverberations on family wealth for generations

TULSA, Okla.—“Destroyed 1921, Not Reopened.”
That is how dozens of plaques commemorate the Black-owned businesses that once made up the city’s Greenwood neighborhood.
Before it was destroyed by mobs of white people during the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre, the 35-block district had about 200 Black-owned registered businesses, including hotels, restaurants, grocery stores, beauty salons, movie theaters and a bank. Some local residents and business leaders estimate there may have been as many as 600 entities, including unlisted firms and sole proprietors.
A view of Tulsa’s Greenwood neighborhood. SHANE BROWN FOR THE WALL STREET JOURNAL
Greenwood was among the few places in Tulsa where Black people could build wealth. They were able to buy land in their names and operate businesses in the area north of the railroad tracks that divided the segregated city. The neighborhood’s nearly 9,000 Black residents in 1920 primarily spent their money in their own community.
The majority of the businesses destroyed in the massacre were never rebuilt. Some that managed to rebuild didn’t last, at least partly because of the stresses of the massacre and the Great Depression that followed.
It has been four generations since the riot, and its effect on generational wealth for the descendants of those business owners lingers. “
This is a major pillar of support for reparations: the idea that blacks had their birthright stolen by the actions of white devils in the past. How far back can that logic extend? Am I owed money by Italians because the Roman Empire enslaved and abused some of my ancestors in the British Isles centuries ago? How about some checks from the English for atrocities they committed in the colonies during the Revolutionary War? Why is the suffering of blacks something that must be elevated above all the other people of this world and addressed with a never ending supply of guilt and treasure?
Me: 2021 - 1492 > 2021 - 1619
Is there some reason that reparations to the blacks take precedence over returning what was stolen from the native nations whose ancestral lands everybody is living on? How many native millionaires are there @CharlesBarkley ? There are quite a few black and hispanic billionaires, but no native ones.
Beautiful Border said:Have you ever heard of Jews? They were persecuted for centuries, between pogroms, laws restricting their rights, numerous exiles, and being forced to live in ghettoes, few people have been as hard done by for as long and as hard as they were. Even if you don't count the holocaust the Jews have gotten the shit end of the stick for centuries. So surely you'd expect them to be some of the poorest, least educated, most marginalised people on Earth, right?
Only... wait a minute, they're not any of those things. In fact they're the exact opposite, they're some of the richest, most educated, and most disproportionately overrepresented people in pretty much every industry on Earth. How do you explain that? How have Jews succeeded where blacks have failed?Click to expand...

Jews dont backstab each other
Me: Don't kid yourself about that. What about Michael Milken and Ivan Boesky? Jews brought a lot of the persecution on themselves for their unscrupulous financial dealings and shtupping the shikses. Refusing to serve in the military didn't help, especially when the crusaders came home to hook nosed babies and find out their parents' house got foreclosed while they were off fighting the Muslims. It's also possible that the Khazarian priests never stopped doing human sacrifice rituals after their conversion in the 9th century and that could be the principle reason that they got expelled from everywhere they went in Europe, but lived in relative peace all over the Islamic Caliphate until the Jewish nationalist fascists showed up in Jerusalem in the 1920's.
Unpaid Emotional Labourer said: Like troons, blacks seem to have convinced themselves that if not for <irreversible thing> their lives would‘ve been <whatever their definition of perfect is>. The lookism sort of incel is the same way. Why would whatever happened in Tulsa mean no black person in all of the US could ever succeed? Who the shit cares what happens in Oklahoma? And why in the world would they imagine they would not have been affected by the Depression *in Oklahoma of all places*?
You don’t get a do over, nobody is giving you reparations of any sort - monetary, sexual, or otherwise. Nobody gets a do over. Improve yourself. Look to the future. Maybe you have no potential and should just survive until you drop dead. Many people are like this. Almost no one is special. Get a job. Work hard. Read books. Quit committing crimes. Be respectful and teach your kids to be respectful. Fucking *behave*.Click to expand...Yes, BIPOCs , be good wage slaves and useful idiots for empire, feeding your children up to the forever wars, trapped in a life you hate with this impossible dream of making it into the "Big Club" .
Toolbox said:Is this literally the only example of the destruction of black property enmasse they have that wasn't caused by other black people in gang warfare? They keep harping on this event that had a deathcount less than the las vegas shooting but they're doing a pretty bad job at making it look anything less than a riot. Them overemphasizing this event repeatedly in media like with the shitty watchmen reboot show where they show biplanes fucking nuking black businesses with tnt from above like we're doing a holocoaster 2 here definitely does not help the case.
Me It has happened often since the blacks were set free. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mass_...on-Black race riots, the Tulsa massacre (1921).
Quixotic Man said:Maye someday they will actually find the mass graves containing hundreds of black victims. I highly doubt it, but they sure have been trying.
Me: They just found another one of native kids in Canada at what was the largest residential school.

Don't forget Asians. They had to put up with some pretty bad shit in the U.S. in the 1800's-mid 1900's and now they're mostly a successful people just like the Jews. Inner city blacks especially seem to be the exception to everyone else, including blacks from smaller towns and rural areas who are generally more self-reliant and agreeable. Inner city blacks are like tools used by the Democrats to help them maintain power in those areas. They're fed lies and told they're victims and they fall for it hook, line, and sinker. Practically still slaves to the Democrats which is fucking sad, and unless by some miracle you're able to make it in sports or the music industry the comunity will make damn well sure you don't escape the plantation.
Me: Other POC never faced the systemic racism faced by blacks in the 20th century and they didn't have the FBI and sheriffs actively sabotaging their communities with guns and drugs or assassinating their leaders. Go study the history of the actual "Black Liberation Movement" the black capitalists of BLM are exploiting, grabbing for their piece of the pie, starting with people like Philip Randolph, Bayard Rustin, Stokely Carmichael, Eldridge Cleaver, Angela Davis, Malcolm X, Huey Newton, Fred Hampton and Mark Clark, instead of getting diverted into the feel good zone with MLK cliche' crap. Go read the stories of entertainers like Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald, Billy Holiday, Lena Horne and Nina Simone and absolutely listen to Muhammed Ali talk. He was truly the one of the greatest and wisest Americans who ever lived on this topic.

Why do you link to a forum ran by neo nazis promoting mass shootings?
Why do you associate yourself with them?
